Mellott, and their son Luther was born at Pleasant Ridge in 1904; six more children followed at Saluvia between 1906 and 1922. The Deshongs and Mellotts had married into each other for generations in Fulton County: four earlier Deshong marriages into the Mellott family are recorded on this site.
