Research note
In 1900 Fred lived with a widowed Mary Malott, born June 1826, who is almost certainly Delos’s widow, Margaret Eveline Waits, called “Mary Eveline” on Delos’s 1864 hospital card. That makes Fred very probably a son of Delos and Margaret, born four years after their marriage, but no record yet names his father.
