Research note: no wife on record
The original file gave Ambrose a wife, Mary Mills. No record of that marriage has been found. Mary Mills of Sussex County was the partner of Abraham Marlatt of Upper Canada, who went to Canada with Ambrose’s brother Paul, and the two men seem to have been confused. The marriage has been removed.
