Research note: his seven children

Dirck and Richard are the same name; the records use both. He and Jannetje Schamp had seven known children: Abraham (baptised 1733), Margaret (about 1735), Elizabeth (about 1736–7), Jannetje (about 1739), George (about 1741), Dirck (baptised 1744) and Gideon (after 1744). Abraham and the younger Dirck both moved to Berkeley County, Virginia, and their descendants are easily confused.

The original file dated the marriage 1732 and listed only Abraham.
