Research note: his children
From the baptismal registers and his will, his children were Pieternelle and Gideon (both baptised 17 June 1754), John (born 1754–56, died by 1796), Peter (1755–58), Abram (1756–59), Mary (1754–59) and Catherine (1759–62). Abram probably stayed in New Jersey, married Elizabeth Furman and died in Mansfield Township, Warren County, in 1825.
The original file had one child, “Pieter, born 16 June 1754.” That baptism was the daughter Pieternelle (“Peter Nelly” in the register); her brother Peter was born a few years later. The two are now separate pages.
